Even if your knee is starting to feel a little better, it’s essential that you keep taking it easy - it’s working, after all!
Now, this doesn’t mean stopping exercising altogether. Keep your knee moving but gently. If you don’t, your knee can quickly become stiff. And, the stiffer your joints or muscles, the more likely you are to damage yourself again.
Go for gentle walks or, even better, go to your local pool and walk up and down the shallow end. This soft but steady pressure on your knee works wonders in regaining strength and ability.
